Birmingham Maternity Hospital, University of Birmingham This article describes the response of blind and partially sighted teenagers to genetic counselling; their knowledge of disability and their attitudes towards marriage and parenthood. The types of visual impairments diagnosed, together with their frequencies, are also reported.
