Garth Jenkins

Shorthand typist to Legal Adviser

As already announced in the Press, Garth Jenkins was appointed in October 1983 to the post of Legal Adviser at the rank of Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food. This is the most senior position reached by a blind person in the Civil Service. Mr Jenkins kindly agreed to talk to members of the BJVI Editorial Board and what follows is a summary of our conversation with him.
