DOI: 10.1177/026461969201000306 The use of the Blind Learning Aptitude Test in England and Wales, India and the USA
This paper examines the rationale behind the development of the Blind Learning Aptitude Test (BLAT) by Newland, and then describes the results of its usage in England and Wales and India. These results are compared with the original standardization in the USA. The difficulties of testing the blind population in these countries are discussed and some tentative suggestions about future usage of the test are made.
